DB SCV

Welcome to my page about markets, trading, and New York City. Trading has always been a hobby but has really peaked as of late. My investment style is primarily fundamental and macro in nature but I am learning more and more technical analysis to supplement my technique. I trade equity options because I like/need the leverage. I shy away from stocks for two reasons:

1. I dont have a ton of $ in my brokerage account. With 10$ in and 10$ out in transaction fees on a $1000 trade, I am already down 2% out of the gate.
2. Equities are boring. This is a hobby and I am not a long term investor, so to make it the least bit interesting I need leverage and volitility that options provide.

You can track my portfolio via the Investopedia Simulator < http://simulator.investopedia.com/ > profile name: dmb490. This is (usually) an exact mirror of my Chuck Schwab brokerage account. One thing that sucks is that given my involvment in the securities industry, I have to hold for a minimum of 15 days and am restricted from certain plays.

Always looking to connect with friends, like-minded folks, or people with seed capital ;)
